Catherine McCauley-Libert is a domestic and international intellectual property attorney who emphasizes business-oriented solutions to legal issues and problems that arise for companies operating in an increasingly global economy. She graduated cum laude from UC Berkeley; was a Regent’s Fellow at UC Irvine; and completed her professional education at University of San Francisco School of Law and Monterey College of Law.
Ms. McCauley-Libert was an associate attorney with the Monterey, California law firm of Davis & Schroeder, a well-known intellectual property boutique, from 1990 through 1997. In January of 1998, she established her own practice, which is concentrated in the areas of trademark, copyright trade secret, and unfair competition law. Her clients include high technology, consumer products, and agribusiness companies, which market their products throughout the U.S. and all over the world.
In addition to practicing as an international intellectual property lawyer, Ms. McCauley-Libert has been a featured speaker at conferences and seminars sponsored by Women in International Trade, the Monterey Institute of International Studies, the California Seed Association, the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs, the American Seed Trade Association, and the California State Bar. She has also written several articles on trademark and copyright protection in the U.S. and abroad.
